Kids Learning Toys
At
Mentis we have moved beyond kids learning toys and have
devoted our resources to provide a complete experience. Instead of 'learning toys'
that offer limited development, our programme provides activities designed to enable parents and
pre school children interact in new ways specifically designed to improve the child's
abilities.
Most toys - even 'learning toys' that you see are really very limited
- they concentrate on one facet of your child's development
and, frequently, only a small part of that. Their appeal can
be limited and the child quickly tires of it.
Learning toys. And More!
This is more than just one of many learning toys. We have produced an
holistic development programme. Unlike most educational toys, it targets key areas in a
young child's development ranging from motor skills, to
social, language and perception: instead of a small area of
development we have built a comprehensive guide to helping
your child.
Why is movement so important? Developing
movement is one of the first skills a young child develops -
one which many toys do not target.
The stimulation that the brain receives helps it develop
further skills. Regrettably many children in the early years are not sufficiently
active. In recent research more than half the children
entering nursery or reception class failed to have expected
motor coordination. There is also evidence that this lack of
motor development is associated with hyperactivity (which is
also increasing alarmingly amongst young children)
The programme has been developed by an
Educational Psychologist with more than 20 years experience
and specialising in the 'Early Years'.
On our website is information relating to this
programme and a sample video showing the type of exercises we
are trying to encourage parents to try.

in action, see the video - or click here.
